PalAbe Consulting SL
Palabe Consulting was created with the purpose of providing additional training to professionals involved
in the sport world, in its broadest sense.
Nowadays and on a world-wide level, there is an increasingly need to improve the skills for managers and professionals related to the Sport world.
Too often, these people do not have the necessary tools to take concrete decisions in a more and more changing and complex scenario.
This situation often creates imbalances that adversely affect the significant development of the Sport.
That's why we believe it's essential to provide professional with both: the basic training allowing them to reach a position of responsibility
within sports entities and the specific and updated training according to the latest trends on accurate issues.
Information, training and professionalism in performing their work will make all these people become highly qualified professionals for the
development of their functions within the field of sport.

ORIOL TORT'S AWARD
Oriol Tort, "The talent scout"

Oriol Tort Martinez was born on January 31st, 1929 and died on September 10th, 1999.
Oriol joined FC Barcelona on September 29th, 1959 and he has dedicated his life to the club during 40 years.
For 18 years, he has been the Barça coach for youth teams. At that time, a lot of football players passed through
his hands, as Rexach, Pujol, Martí Filosia...
Since 1977, Tort was handed the task of coordinating the Youth Academic FC BARCELONA, a position he shared with Joan Martínez Vilaseca. Many football
players grew up at the shadow of La Masia Training Center and they remember their "football father". Football players as Guardiola said, when he knew Oriol
Tort was passed away, that "the Barça is now less wise man". Oriol discovered players as: Sergi, Amor, Quique Martin, the three brothers García
(Oscar, Genís and Gerard) Junyent, Toni Velamazán, De la Peña, Roger, Mingo, Manu Martínez, Xavi, Gabri, Iniesta and even one of
his latest signing would be a child whose name is Bojan Krkic. In the past, Oriol also asked for two young players who later would sign with the "eternal
rival": Raúl and Míchel Salgado.
On the day of his burial, Josep Mussons said: "If we would have to write the name of all the football players he discovered, it would surround the stadium".

Nowadays, Sport is suffering big changes and traditional values as perseverance, work and effort achieve a relevance instead of the "quick-buck" and the "everything has a price" culture. That's
why PALABE CONSULTING wants to institute the Oriol Tort Award. The Oriol Tort's important figure has all these values: daily work, perseverance, attention to detail and above all, effort. Due to
all these reasons, his work, even nowadays after 10 years since he passed away, is recognized by everyone; by his pupils or disciples and even by those who were his "eternal sporting rivals", as
Vicente Del Bosque, who during the Golden Ball Award ceremony had some words of recognition for the work he carried out during his professional career.
Oriol Tort Award
By the Oriol Tort Award 5 scholarships will be granted to children from each of the continents and whose aim is to make their dream come true; this dream is loving clean sport and growing up in
a healthy environment with strong values. These values are indentified with the Masia Oriol Tort of FC Barcelona where an essential model for growth and for training in the sport world has been
developed during the last years.
